Subject:Japanese lacquer box. How old ?
Posted By: Steffen Saabye Sat, Jun 22, 2019 IP: 87.60.75.4 I bought this small, 2.5 cm x 9.0 cm x 6.0 cm, decorated, Japanese lacquer box at a Danish flea market for the equivalent of USD 23. Probably too much. Can you please tell me how old (or young) it is ? |

Such work often is lacquered and painted on a papier mâché base. See further information at the link below (particularly at the bottom of the webpage). |
