Subject:Chinese porcelain dish?
Posted By: Paul Sun, Jul 14, 2019 IP: 176.27.197.66

Hi,
I’m trying to identify the dish pictured.
Yes I know it has been broken and re-glued rather badly but I think it might be rather old?
The glaze is very glossy but also rather uneven , if that makes sense, and there are traces of gilding on various points.
Famille verte of the Kangxi period?
Or am I being far too optimistic?
Any info most gratefully received!

As an update, I took this dish along to a local recording session of the BBC TV programme “Antiques Roadshow” where the ceramics expert informed me that this item is indeed Chinese , and described it as polychrome dating from around 1820.
