Subject:Hand Made White Metal Coffee Set Puzzle
Posted By: CV Wed, Jul 17, 2019 IP: 217.114.169.247

I am not even sure this is Asian but the details of the metalwork seem to be so no harm in asking.

It's a puzzle because huge work and skill has gone into crafting a very sturdy coffee set with the most primitive tools - makes me think it might have come from a place that was cut off from trade for a while? Someone may have some ideas. One thing that could place it is that it is constructed from two parts of beaten metal with a soldered "seam" at the belly.

The knobs are soldered on and it is non-ferrous hard white metal that rings like a bell when struck and polishes up beautifully.

This is the sugar bowl that shows all the details. Any ideas?
