Subject:Asian porcelain cup with markings

Afternoon,

I have one porcelain cup which is Asian made I am assuming. Not sure is it Chinese or Japanese or any other country in Asia.

Can anyone advice me where & when this cup possibly been made please? And what markings says please.

cup is very small, size: 5 cm in height, 7 cm in width

Hi Robert,

The mark on the base is a Qinq dynasty (1644-1911), Kangxi (1662-1722) reign mark written in kaishu script. You can find more information about markings at Gotheborg.com.

I'm sorry I can't help with the calligraphy. The only character I recognize is the 请, which is representative of the Qing Dynasty.

Hopefully one of the seasoned forum members will can give you an opinion on authenticity. I'm very new to this.

I don't know, cup looks fairly new to me, would be great if someone could confirm possible age of this cup please.
