Subject:possible Jade artifact

Hi, I recently purchased a number of items from a antiques store and this was thrown into the deal. I was going to theorise based on my very limited knowledge of jade but I've decided to let others with more experience enlighten me. I have done a scratch test and the stone is harder than steel. Dimensions are just under 2.0 inches in height, around 1.5 inches in width and about 0.5 inch in depth. Thanks for looking

Gerry

Hi Gerry,
I take it from your pictures that there are two different items that you purchased?
The first one is too blurry for me to tell/analysis.
The second picture is imo modern. The style of the carving is very rigid, sloppy and has been done with haste. You can clearly see where the carvers modern drill has been applied as in off shoots/other.
