Hi there!
Could anybody of you lovely people identify the artist stamp on this two paintings? Thank you in advance!

The 1st one is signed Utamaro, but there appear to be a Kiwame and a date seal, so most likely Utamaro 2

You have Japanese woodblock prints. The first picture has the signature of Utamaro (likely Utamaro II). The last picture date seal indicates it was printed in the 4th lunar month of a Tiger year (...1818, 1830, 1842...). If you show us the full prints, we can tell you more. (though I. Nagy will be able to translate what you showed to us)

Cheers,
Stan

I looked through the Utamaro II prints at the Boston MFA and they have your 1st print here:

https://collections.mfa.org/objects/208042/the-hobbyhorse-dance-harukoma-from-the-series-dance-of-se?ctx=b8784771-51de-428e-bb32-b1f8d9b038a6&idx=39

It is titled "The Hobbyhorse Dance (Harukoma), from the series Dance of Seven Changes Played by Precious Children (Shichi henge kodakara asobi)" and was printed in 1812.

Stan

See my previous comment for a picture of your first print in excellent condition at the Boston MFA.

Your second print is by Yoshitoshi (1839-92) (signed Ikkaisai Yoshitoshi). This is one of his earlier signatures. Thus, I am guessing the date is 1866. He was using a signature in a red cartouche in 1866, so this is a bit unusual.

I was unable to find a copy of your print online. For any more information we'll have to depend on someone with Japanese language skills.

Cheers,
Stan
