Subject:Cast Iron Gold Inlay Teapot Brass Lid - Help with Makers Mark
Posted By: Isaac Peat Sun, Mar 22, 2020 IP: 144.124.211.191

Hi All,
I have a cast iron Teapot with gold inlay. Item was purchased mid late 19th century and is from the Meji period, to the best of my knowledge.
I'm wondering if anyone has any information regarding the object, specifically where it may have been made and sold. Of particular interest would be to find out who the maker is. I have attached a photo of what I believe to be the makers mark.
Thanks in advance for all of your help. Please let me know if you need more photos or information.

Bottom marking reads,
金壽堂造 - Kinjudō

From Meiji era (late 19th century)

With regards,

Thank you for your response. Do you think that this will have been the Kinjudō Company ? Struggling to find too much information online. But this is super useful will do more digging. Thanks again for all the help.
