Subject:Painted/printed frames
Posted By: Tony Thu, Mar 26, 2020 IP: 98.152.172.26

Dear friends,
I have these 3 frames that I could not tell whether they are prints or paintings (That is how much you can see that I know about Arts :))
Upon close examining in person, they look like paintings, but somehow I keep remembering that I have seems online paintings of this old longivity man and the 2 dead birds scenery before.
I would really appreciate your kind teaching and your help on the translation of the writings.
Thank you very much!!!
Tony :)

Sorry dear friends...
As for the “dead birds” painting, how I the world I saw 2 big white rocks lay horizontally 2 little pink birds, seriously! They turn out to be 2 standing birds.
Also, there is a clear plastic covering each frame so the pictures are not that clear :)

these are alle hand painted! prints are always showing some details, where you can see the impression of the wood plate.
colour shades, flying white and vivid lines are particularly difficult to produce.
Such printing is an art in itself. its also a painful process and would only be done for great masters. I added two pics of very well printed album leaves as a reference.

Dear Peter and I. Nagy,
Thanks so much for your guidance on determining whether it is painted or printed! I mentioned "printed" referring to the modern inkjet printing :) It did not realize or know about the technique /art of wood block printing as you described. Thank you very much for the knowledge!!!
I also deeply appreciate I. Nagy for your help in translating the writings. It is beautifully translated the way you did!!!
As for the 80th birthday person, it was nice to had received personal paintings from the daughter in law, student, and ... (the painter of the Longivity man)! He might be a painter himself, I wonder :)))
Thanks so much again dear friends!!!
