Subject:Need help on Identifying mark/maker of metal vase

Hi all,
I would appreciate any help in identifying the mark on the bottom of this metal vase. I don't think it's bronze given the reddish spots and bright scratch marks on the base. It is, however, solid metal and very heavy. The base plate is thick and solid as well. Thanks much!

特殊新銅金製　-　Special New Copper-metal Made
(The character 銅　is abbreviated to 同）
Seemingly it is the name of alloy the vase made of)
