Posted By: Tom Aspden Tue, Jun 23, 2020 IP: 82.132.227.19

Hi, can somebody please translate the markings on this print, which I believe to have something to do with a waitress.

Much appreciated,
Tom

Just to add to the excellent information provided by I. Nagy...

The artists are Hiroshige II (aka Shigenobu Rissho) and Kunisada (aka Toyokuni III). Your print appears to be number 26 on the list. See the link below for more information. (Your print is on the right side of the screen.)

https://www.klinebooks.com/pages/books/34131/hiroshige-ii-utagawa-kunisada-toyokuni-iii-texts-and/pride-of-edo-thirty-six-amusements-edo-jiman-sanjurokkyo

Hiroshige II did the landscapes and Kunisada did the figures (their specialties).

Cheers,
Stan
