Subject:Signature on large bronze horse okimono
Posted By: John T. Mon, Sep 14, 2020 IP: 2a01:cb05:8362:5000:

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone could help me translate the maker (at least I assume it's the bronzesmith) who made this horse. I believe one of the characters is "Mine" 峰.

Thanks,

Regards,

I think it is Chinese.
Marking reads,
舟峰 - Zhoufeng (Chow Fung)

In the Japanese this art-name or studio name (舟峰 - pronounced Senhō)is not used, while in Chinese it is used quite frequently as art-name, trade mark or company name.

With regards,
I.Nagy
