Subject:Metal and stone pendant
Posted By: Tony Mon, Sep 21, 2020 IP: 98.152.172.26

Dear friends,
The pendant (2" x 1.5") seems handmade, and the metal part looks old as there is green patina on various parts.
I am curious as for which stone, metal and culture it is from :)
I really appreciate your time and help!!!
Best,
Tony

It might just be an ordinary pendant! It does not look Asian, imo?
Since we have many experts in the forum, especially in gemstone specialty, I would like to take the opportunity to learn 🙏😊🙏

Hello;
looks to me like some european Arts and Crafts to Art Nouveau transition phase piece.
Mid 19th to beginning 20th Century; brass, silver plated.
The stone may be polished glass, looks like there are bubbles inside;( Photo backside ) but may be those are only reflections - otherways it may be aventurine (colorwise). A good Photo would help to find out for sure.
Greetings
Edmund

Dear Edmund Prinz,

Those are reflections, not bubbles. However, you thought of a good point that it might be of polished glass, since under 60X magnifying glass it looks very even in term of color and pure/fine in term of structure. Of course, I don't stone hence those observations are just subjective :)

Thank you very much for your time and kind help!!!

Best,

Tony
