I'm trying to identify the mark on a bronze planter. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I believe it is Genryusai seiya. Circa late Meiji period 1868-1912.
Genryusai seiya was a master craftsman in charge of a workshop which specialized in export wares of high quality. Products included human genre, figures, vases and exotic models of animals probably highly influenced by the opening of the Tokyo zoological gardens in 1882.
In my opinion your jardinare has been over the years polished and has lost its original patina.
