Subject:Help identify teaset

This set is a family heirloom and I have never seen it being used. I suspect they aren't solid silver, and the pair of cups with holder could belong to other set of things. Could anyone help me identify the material, maker, etc?

Reading of markings,
孟嘉錫 - Mèng Jiāxi (Cantonese: Maang Ga Sek) = Surname and given name (Owner)
新世界 - Xīnshìjiè (Cant. Sansaigaai) = New World
公司  - Gōngsī (Cant. Gungsi) = Company
定荘  - Dīngzhuāng (Cant. Ding Chuang) = Ding Village

何有作 - Made by Héyŏu (Cantonese: Ho Yau)
吉   - Jí (Cant. Gat) - Surname
呈   - Chéng (Cant. Ching)- Other marking

Material could be pewter.
