Posted By: I.Nagy Mon, Apr 26, 2021 The depicted man on this picture is wearing a typical Japanese garb. It must have been painted in Japan by a Chinese or Korean painter. Kyōto used to be quite international despite of the isolative policy of the Shōgunate - the history books are not always correct on certaion things. During the 250 years of Shōguns the personal exchanges between Japan Korea and China were quite active. |
