Subject:Silver Lid Identification
Posted By: Puti Sat, May 15, 2021 IP: 139.193.37.98

Dear all,

I made a post on the object under the same subject-title on April 21 but receive no reply, probably because of some dirt obscures the 2nd character.

Just hope that after some cleaning the characters are now more clearly seen for anyone to help translate them.

Best regards,
Puti

I do have two possible readings,
l,
取永昌 - Qŭ Yŏng Chāng - ca. Selection Yong Chang
Yong Chang could have been a name of a company or workshop
(Possibly the 1st and 2nd characters are compressed in one)

2,
With forced imagination, the first character which I separated above into 取+永、 could be read "聖" " ca. Sacred"
聖昌 - Shèng Chāng ?

With regards,
I.Nagy
