Dear All,

This is the second painting which I bought from my local auctioneers. I'm hoping that this one has a happier theme than the last one I posted.

Please, would anyone attempt a translation?

I was drawn to the free style of calligraphy which is attractive to me. I have read that the meaning of the narrative has direct influence on how the artist would draw the Chinese characters. I wonder if that is he case here?

Aixinjuelo Yūzhān (Aisin Gioro Yü Chan)

(The last character 山+詹　should be compressed to
one character. The matrix of my PC doesn't contain this character)

Aixinjuelo Yuzhan 1926-2016
A calligrapher. Descendant of the Manchu royal family, the last Prince of Gong. He was the great-great grandson of the Daoguang Emperor Minning.

The first line of calligraphy reads,
閑夢遠南國正清秋....
Easy-going dreams are far away and the south of the country is in clear autumn....
