Subject:Asian clay pot info needed
Posted By: Sande C. Sun, Jan 23, 2022 IP: 2601:805:8100:2cf:93

This item was included with a lot of cut crystal glassware (my interest) that I acquired at an estate auction last week. I wonder if anyone knows anything about this style, artist, period, etc., and/or whether it has any value. It stands about 3.25", with an opening of 2", and base of 1-5/8". I have no knowledge of Asian art and appreciate any of you who have information you can share! Thanks again!

The mark reads: Kutani 九谷.
This is Japanese Kutani ware, Mokubei style, circa 1900.
Regards,
Martin.

Martin -- thanks so much for this info! So appreciated! Any idea on what the value of this might be today? (Full disclosure -- intending to post for sale.)

Since the decorations are painted in a rather sloppy way, not of the best quality, it has only some small decorative value.
Martin.
