Subject:Identifying Japanese Scroll
Posted By: Etty Isaac Fri, May 13, 2022 IP: 2a00:23c4:290f:8500:

Hi everyone,
Trying to identify this Japanese scroll.
From some research I understand that this is probably depicting a Dragon Kabuto? A samurai’s helmet with a dragon on top?
Would this scroll be referred to as a Kakejiku?
It seems to be of silk like fabric.
The painting is probably a print? It is very shimmery.
I am wondering about the symbols under the dragon. Are these Kamons? And if so, are these any famous crests? Any symbolism to the arrow? Hope the pictures are clear… it scroll is only 90cm long.
Thanks in advance
Etty
