Hello,
can anybody translate and help identify the markings on the base of a small Japanese vase please ?
i have 3 photos of these attached.

I'm no expert, so I won't be able to help you with the most important info (the maker), but thanks to the Gotheborg site, I think that the first black character means 'right' (which indicates that this is 1 in a set of (at least) 2, and should be placed on the right side) and the second means '4'. On the right side I couldn't figure out what the left column means, but the right column is 'Dai Nippon' (Great Japan).
The stamped mark on the left isn't clear. It appears to have the 'zan' character, but the other character(s) seems/seem to be too vague.

you are the only person to reply to me and i thank you for that and it’s great i know at least what the right side says..
So it’s just the left side column characters i need to try now.
It’s reading from top to bottom is it.?
I don’t know who else to ask now.

You're welcome.
It's indeed from top to bottom.
But you should also try to figure out what the other character(s) is/are in the stamped seal. I could only see 山, but there seems to be at least one other character there.
