Subject:Help identify celadon signature
Posted By: Michael Fri, Jun 17, 2022 IP: 2600:6c40:4d7f:acab:

Here is a photograph of the celadon bowl as well as the mark on the bottom.
I would like to know the maker if possible.
Thank you for your help

I put it down as Korean.
It reads in Korean;
平山 - Pyeongsan

The mark appears to be the Chinese seal script character "Jin" (金), meaning "Gold" also a surname. If the piece is Korean instead of Chinese, the mark would be transliterated differently and is the surname "Kim".

I defer to those in the forum with the expertise to comment on age and other aspects of the dish.

Best regards,

Bill H.

As usual, I defer to the better experience of I.Nagy in translation matters.

I forgot to note, that the image on the posting is upside down, which can be confusing to read.
