Posted By: andy Sun, Jul 03, 2022 IP: 2a02:c7f:f00e:6400:7

Hi, please can anyone advise me as to what the attached mark reads in English? Thank you.

龍缸術 - Long Gangshu - Long Earthenware Art
朱茂盛 - Zhu Maosheng
白硇 (碙) - Baigang - White sand ?

Zhu Maosheng was a famous potrcelain sculptor in the late Qing and Republic of China eras.

With regards,
I.Nagy

Thank you I.Nagy and Bill for your replies confirming that the middle line on the impressed mark reads:

朱茂盛 - Zhu Maosheng

I.Nagy, in an earlier thread you posted that Zhu Maosheng is written 朱茂生 (Subject:Re: Buddha statue possibly Zhu Mao Sheng? Posted By: I.Nagy Wed, May 27, 2020).

As far as I can tell, the character to the left on the middle line does not look like either of the above.

Could this be someone other than Zhu Maosheng?

Thanks again, Andy.

The three-character line at the center reads right to left as "Zhu Maosheng" (朱茂盛), a Chinese porcelain sculptor who was active circa the late Qing to Republic era and who has been copied in the years since then. The other two lines are obscure enough that I can't read all the characters.

Best regards,

Bill
