Middle and right side of the triptych titled;
Battle of Mino (美濃の國合戦 Mino no Kuni Gassen)
by Yoshitora. (1850)
In the Edo period, after the Oda-Toyotomi administration the Shogunate forbade the drawing of events related to samurai families. However, the artists at the end of the Edo period expressed the historical facts in original ways by changing actual names due to compliance with the law.
The protagonists of this work are all listed under their changed names.
Signature of artist,
一猛斎 - Ichimosai (Pseudonym of artist)
芳虎画 - Yoshitora -ga - Painted by Ichimosai Yoshitora (Utagawa Yoshitora)
