Hello Scholars,

I have an (apparently Regency period) Chinese Export Silver Teaspoon here I require help with translating the mark and any other information anyone can help with also.
I really appreciate any help you can provide.

老萬年 - Lao Wannian - Old Wannian

Old Wannian is a gold and silver brand name from Suzhou, that has been passed down for more than 300 years.

With regards,
I.Nagy

The construction of your spoon would date to c1767 if of American origin. I’m not sure when the Chinese would have made similarly constructed spoons. They may have also acquired older spoon molds when construction methods and styles changed c1790.

Thank you so much, gentlemen,
As always, your knowledge has filled vital holes in the information I already had.
I bought the spoon as "Early George III Chinese Export Silver Teaspoon" he reigned from 1734-1820 to that fits in nicely with the information provided.
I'm off to research "Old Wannian" or "Lao Wannian"!
