Subject:Chinese / Japanse Mark?
Posted By: Tim Mon, Dec 27, 2021 IP: 2a02:a03f:8096:7a00: Is it possible to translate the mark on the bottom? |

Posted By: Bill H Tue, Dec 28, 2021 Not an artist's chop but a cursive mark of "Made during the Qianlong reign of the Great Qing Dynasty" (Da Qing Qian Long Nian Zhi - 大清乾隆年製). The Qing emperors ruled China from 1644-1911. This mark was applied by a rubber stamp, indicating that whatever bears it probably is not older than the late 19th century. |
