Subject:Japanese Picture Charactors

I recently acquired a set of four, what appears to be, Japanese pictures in bamboo frames with wood backing. Each one has a set of characters that I would like to know the meaning of. Many thanks for any information that anyone could share. Since I can only upload three images to this post, I'll post the fourth set of characters in a reply to this post.
