Subject:Unknown old watercolours from china???
Posted By: luckybee Thu, Jun 01, 2017 IP: 77.10.212.49

Dear Sirs, we got three watercolours from the 1920ties. Simplyfied and suprising modern artworks.
I dont know if they were from China or Japan??
Please, see the signatures. Thanks a lot! Best regards from Germany -luckybee-

Now, here are the landscape watercolours. Unfortunately, the middle picture stands on the head, sorry!

I very much doubt that these paintings have anything to do with China or Japan, or I think probably anywhere in the East.

The 'signature' is made up of some strange hieroglyphics that do not appear in my experience to any known language writing system.

The red 'seal' mark containing the letter 'S' and with the spikes on the corner would (if Oriental) follow the writing, not precede it.

These are pleasant enough landscapes in a vaguely Chinese manner, and maybe should be simply enjoyed as such.
