Subject:Markings on the red porcelain seal paste box?
Posted By: Janniina Mon, Sep 11, 2017 IP: 37.219.200.197

Hi,
I have some what old porcelain seal paste box. I think that it's Chinese but it could be Japanese also I don't know for sure.
Can someone help me get more information about the box? Is it Chinese or is it Japanese and what are the markings on it? What do they mean?
Thanks for advance.

The two characters on the lid are back to back (or, if you prefer, one is upside-down to the other). They are Good Luck 福 and Long Life 壽. I have no suggestion for the mark on the bottom of the vessel.

Thank you mikeoz for helping to make sense of some of the characters.
