Subject:Large Porcelain Vase ID?
Posted By: Mike O. Tue, Sep 19, 2017 IP: 216.252.205.157

Another eclectic piece from my grandmother's last collection. 24" tall porcelain multi-colored vase with gilt. Doesn't quite fit the types I found in my initial search. The glaze and color is in excellent condition. Too good? There is a mark on the bottom. Thoughts on origin and type are appreciated!

The bottom mark reads,
両 Liang, Both(sides): Either (side)
It may mean that this is one piece of two identical vases.

With regards,

Dear Mike

I would guess Japanese Imari, 20th century or later. Japanese because of the hexagon pattern, and 20th century or later because of the very shiny gold which was not available in the old days.
