Subject:ID PORCELAIN VASE - HELPS PLEASE
Posted By: Tom Thu, Feb 01, 2018 IP: 217.42.86.2

Hi Can any body helps ID this vase

I have a pretty porcelain vase which I believe to be Chinese but the base stamp looks like the sort of thing you might see on a Satsuma piece.

Can any body give me the maker & age of this piece. I would also love to know what the text says around it's body that would be great stuff.

It 8" tall & 5" wide at waste.

Kind Regards
Tom

How nice to see something that doesn't pretend it's something else.

This is a nice vase, probably late 20th century, with a mark that says: "in the style of the QianLong period"仿乹隆年。 The QianLong emperor ruled between 1736 and 1796. It was a period of great style and artistry.

Your vase pays homage to that style.

The vase is Chinese, with a mark that reads down and across from the top right as "Fang Qianlong Nian" - "Imitation of the Qianlong Period". Squinting hard, I believe the bottom line under the mark says "Made in China". I'm unsure of what the mangled remainder says.

Best regards,

Bill H.
