Subject:Very Fine Japanese Inro & Netsuke - Artist?
Posted By: TimG Sat, Feb 03, 2018 IP: 73.85.205.33

Here's another piece I picked up...my pics do not do it justice. Giant knotted pine tree in front of a forest of bamboo.

The netsuke is signed - Can anyone tell me the artist? I am assuming the inro is by the same artist as the two pieces seem a perfect match.

Also, what is the design on the top of the netsuke? It looks kind of like a sword with a double crossed blade, one appears to be solid gold, the other black (silver?).

Thank you for the help!
Tim

Inscription reads,
唐崎 - Karazaki
I do not have much knowledge on netsukes, but I hope
the reading of the name would help you in your further
investigations.

With regards,
I.Nagy
