I would like help to identify the marks and age of this item. Thanks!

My purely uneducated guess is that this is from the 1970's to 1980's. It is not old but very pretty and I'm sure you like it. If you check "watersilkdragon" or "gotonberg" they have a whole hat full of marks which may help you. Best wishes D

Gotheborg.com says this type of mark might date to the 1930s (see link). In my opinion, this pattern may date to the early post-WWII period and possibly was used by one of the Hong Kong or Macao factories on transfer-decorated porcelains.

Thanks Bill for educating me. Perhaps the fact it hasn't been lashed with dirt before firing and that the design is really quite well done makes it older.(Plus the mark). I have stuff from the 1930's so should know a bit better. I find touching the pieces helps me a great deal and obviously from this piece I couldn't get that info. Soz Dennis
