Hello, I thank in advance who can give me information about this calligraph: meaning, name of the author, date and meaning of the writing on the box.

The writing on the outside of the box is easy. It was a treasured item in the collection of He CunJia. 寶號 何村家藏。

My feeling is that this was a calligraphy done by a Buddhist priest of some note. The calligraphy is very strong, but hard to read.

Guessing at some of the characters I get 四海界(something)無事, but I can't find any quotation involving these characters, so I could be barking up the wrong tree completely.

A note attached to the scroll says that the author's name is:道誉教岸 and adds: 大 蓮 寺 十八 世. 大本 山 黒 谷 金 戒 光明 寺 六十 五世. 米 屋 宮 川 家 の 四 男 と し て 生 ま れ る. 福 生 寺籏 忍 教 に つ い て 得 度. I also enclose the image of another calligraphy that should be from the same author (same seal). The note attached to this one says: 大 蓮 寺 十八 世. 大本 山 黒 谷 金 戒 光明 寺 六十 五世. 米 屋 宮 川 家 の 四 男 と し て 生 ま れ る. 福 生 寺 籏 忍 教 に つ い て 得 度. Are these Chinese or Japanese works? (famous place for worships for safe deliveries)
Doyo was his Buddhist name
