Subject:Identify artist and date
Posted By: Cathy Wed, Aug 22, 2018 IP: 137.108.205.28 Hello, I have four paintings depicting the four seasons. I would like to know the artist's name. If I know this it will help to date them. The date is either 1937 or 1997 according to the Chinese calendar.

Posted By: rat Wed, Aug 22, 2018 can't read anything but the date from your photos, which looks like 1977. Please post a larger one (there is free online resizing software that will reduce the number of pixels if your original photo is large)

Posted By: rat Fri, Aug 24, 2018 Ah, this is more helpful. Entitled "Thinking of Summer" (something like that), inscribed and/or painted in autumn 1977 (丁丑年). The only indication of the artist's name is in the seals, which I am having trouble reading; I. Nagy may be able to read them more easily.
