Subject:Hand Carved Plate - Translation please
Posted By: Chris Mon, Oct 22, 2018 IP: 82.8.240.195 This is a turned wood, hand carved plate of indeterminate age. I would be grateful for translation please. I am assuming it to be Japanese or possibly Chinese. (Further images to follow. Thank you for looking and/or contributing.

Posted By: Chris Wed, Oct 24, 2018 Thank you very much Mr Nagy!! - I had guessed it was probably a tourist piece possibly mid/late 20thC by the ageing of exposed wood where the laquer has come off. I have certainly seen much more sophisticated examples but it was the simplicity of the piece that appealed to me - I purchased it for very little along with a, potentially, much more valuable, painted, Swiss plate. Thank you again for your kind assistance.
