Subject:Help translating scroll
Posted By: Bob Sun, Nov 04, 2018 IP: 2600:100e:b039:7d21:

Hello,

I was hoping someone could help translate this hanging scroll, I assume Japanese but not sure.

It came in a wooden storage box that clearly has some age.

And as usual, thanks in advance for the help...this is a wonderful site

Bob

The scroll is Japamese, and the calligraphy reads,

Signature,
壽山 雪哉 Juzan Sessai
Upper seal,
壽山 - Juzan - Pseudonym
雪哉 - Sessai - Art name of artist

Suzuki Sessai 鈴木雪哉 (1875-?)
