I'm hoping someone can help me out with the translation of the artist of this scroll.

I'd also like to translate japanese scrolls on my own in the near future, which books are recommended?

昇雲　-　Shōun
Yamamoto Shōun 　山本昇雲　a.k.a. Matsutani Shōun 松谷昇雲　1870-1965 painter, illustrator (Ref. Google)
