Subject:identify art and marks
Posted By: rat Fri, Jan 11, 2019 The signature (presumably also the seals, which I hard time reading) indicates that the picture is meant to be by Chen Shu, a female painter (1660-1736), some of whose work is in the old imperial collection. However this is more likely an anonymous and more recent work to which the signature has been added; the painting style and calligraphy are both at odds with Chen's. Some of her work can be seen here, though not all of the included paintings are likely to be genuine: https://dd.3zitie.cn/art_show.asp?id=64397 |
