Evening everyone, thank you in advance ..
I'm hoping someone can help me with this art work, The origin? Possibly the artist? I've tried several sites and no luck, or maybe point me in the right direction..It is under glass.
Thanks

This appears to be Western chinoiserie with made-up inscription and seal meant to resemble Chinese characters. It may have been concocted circa the mid-20th century, based on the funky painted frame and its lack of major wear.

Best regards,

Bill H.

It is not Japanese, nor is it Chinese. It is a fantasy painting "in the Oriental manner" done by a European.

The clothes are a fantasy. The hairstyles are a fantasy, and the painting of the trees and their leaves follow none of the classic Oriental painting styles.

The signature and seal are equally fantastic.
