Help Identifying this plate and age

It could be that this is a Delft plate in a pattern emulating an 18th century Chinese motif. They're quite collectible but I don't track the market.

Best regards,

Bill H.

Hi Robert,

Bill is indeed correct, you have a piece of English delft from around 1750.

From the underplate decoration I am 90% sure that this was made in Liverpool.

Regards

Vic

I agree the plate is 18th century delft. Whether English or Dutch is really tough to determine unless it is so very typical of one origin or the other. The reverse designs are certainly more in line with England, but there is a lot of crossover. The condition is good, but most collectors would rather see small frits rather than a missing edge "notch". Taking for granted that the size is most commonly 8 and 3/4-9 to 9 inches, similar plates are offered at auction with an estimate of $150-$175.
