Subject:A strange portable japanese copper-brass burner?

Hi there,
have you ever seen a copper-brass burner like the one in the attached pictures?
I suppose it is from Japan but I am not sure about its use: if it is not a burner, do you know what is it?

A Japanese portable writing set. The brush is kept in the long tube and the ink is held in the pot. The Japanese name is yatate
