Subject:CHINESE CALLIGRAPHY & SEAL TRANSLATION
Posted By: Selby Cook Fri, May 17, 2019 IP: 173.239.199.160 Would greatly appreciate any help in translating the two Chinese characters shown in the picture. I believe the seal is that of Wang Hui, a scroll artist who lived between 1632 and 1717. Many thanks for your help. |

Subject:Re: CHINESE CALLIGRAPHY & SEAL TRANSLATION
Posted By: Selby Cook Tue, May 21, 2019 Thanks to all who helped answer my question. I'm still not sure whose handiwork is on my scroll (one of three with almost identical painting technique, subject material, calligraphic style and signature with different seals) but your input is greatly appreciated. Your expertise is greatly appreciated. |
