Subject:Some questions about a 'poem dish'
Posted By: David Thu, Jun 13, 2019 IP: 85.149.43.6

Hello. I bought this dish a while ago, but after some research I haven't come any closer to finding out who made it, or where and when. I suppose it's not really old, but it's one of my favorite objects. I would greatly appereciate it if somebody can help me with determining the maker. It would also be nice to know what the calligraphy says. Thanks in advance!

My reading and rough translation of inscription,
駿馬嘶
人物外情術祗助幽
仙䦰並他持生欲發
然飛足並久讃名依
嶺南如那
信章
山史x

Neight of a steed
Except of human beings he has the art to help serenely
He and the immortals are obsessed with that persistence
His feet flew long enough to praise his name longstanding
Lingnan* Runa*
Official seal,
Shan Shi x

*Lingnan is the area covering Guandong and Guangxi
* Runa - probably pseudonym

With regards,
I.Nagy

Thank you very much for the translation. I like the dish even better now. Maybe I can find out some more about the maker with the information you gave.
