Subject:Chinese Vase Identification
Posted By: Stewart White Tue, Jul 02, 2019 IP: 75.76.25.38 Can anyone help with identification of this vase? It is eggshell type porcelain (thin). It is 9.25" tall. It is actually one of a pair with the other being a mirror image (although the fine details are slightly different between the two vases). I am primarily trying to find out if it is old or a modern piece. I would also like to know what the writing on the side says and what the stamp on the bottom represents. Thanks! |

Subject:Re: Chinese Vase Identification
Posted By: Bill H Wed, Jul 03, 2019 Chinese vases with this type of "pendant jewel" border around the neck can date from the mid-20th century to contemporary times. Gotheborg.com shows a dish with related border treatment and similar mark dated to 1990-95. |
