Subject:Chinese Vase Identification
Posted By: Stewart White Tue, Jul 02, 2019 IP: 75.76.25.38

Can anyone help with identification of this vase? It is eggshell type porcelain (thin). It is 9.25" tall. It is actually one of a pair with the other being a mirror image (although the fine details are slightly different between the two vases). I am primarily trying to find out if it is old or a modern piece. I would also like to know what the writing on the side says and what the stamp on the bottom represents. Thanks!

Chinese vases with this type of "pendant jewel" border around the neck can date from the mid-20th century to contemporary times. Gotheborg.com shows a dish with related border treatment and similar mark dated to 1990-95.

Best regards,

Bill H.
