Posted By: Bill H Sun, Jul 28, 2019 The workmanship seems to compare well with what's seen in this nephritic jade qilin (or chimera) carved as a censer with removeable head. I've seen others tagged as Ming and this one has previously been appraised as probably Kangxi period. Height is about 4.5 inches at the head and about the same across the body. I posted it here in the past in case you'd like to see other pictures and comments at the link. Your expert views on it would be most welcome too. |
