Subject:Seal on Japanese Bronze/Cloisonne Vase
Posted By: JAMES LOCASHIO Fri, Nov 15, 2019 IP: 2600:6c44:5f80:67:2c Hello: I am seeking information on a Japanese bronze vase with cloisonné bands. It is probably a piece made for export; I believe it is at least pre 1880s before McKinley Act as it has no "Japan" mark. Can anyone decipher the seal and does the seal indicate an older piece or anything special? Thanks in advance! |
