Subject:Meaning of a Japanese calligraphy
Posted By: Marta Thu, Jul 16, 2020 IP: 95.238.76.81

Hi everyone. In this calligraphy the largest kanji is 徳 toku (Virtue). Can anyone tell me what is the translation of the whole sentence? Is there the name of the calligrapher? Thanks everyone for your attention,
Marta

徳在堪忍五萬歳分 - Toku ni goman-sai bun no tannin ari
Virtue does have a worth of fifty-thousand years of patience
山本 - Yamamoto (Signature)

The seals are illegibly smudged.

With regards,
I.Nagy
