The inscription is a seventeen character per line poem, here composed of two phases of 272 characters
(instead of 276 characters - 4 characters short)
This type of poetry was popular during the Ming Dynasty.
There is no title. The content is fundamentally lamentation on the bitter life of a the high official of the defeated Chu state.
Colophon,
王畿壬寅 - Wang Ji in Summer of the Year of Water-Tiger (1542)
(Wang Ji 1498-1583 philosopher, writer and poet in the Ming Dynasty - Presumably, the above poem was written by him in 1542)
崧甫賢宅相稚之属 -With homage to my nephew Song Fuxian
謙吉 呉衍祥 - By the propitious Wu Yanxian
(Name of calligrapher)
