Subject:Japanese Fisherman on Boat w/Mt. Fuji
Posted By: Kenneth Vereb Thu, Apr 22, 2021 IP: 73.133.119.241

I attached a signature and picture of what appears to be a wood print I think it is by a well known artist in the 1800s. Can you tell me artist and year and anything else you can gleam from picture and signature? And value Thanks

Your print is a repro of Katsushika Hokusai's Tago Bay near Ejiri on the Tôkaidô (Tôkaidô Ejiri Tago-no-ura ryakuzu), from the series Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji (Fugaku sanjûrokkei). See the link below for an original at the Boston MFA.

As a repro, it has decorative value. Repros of this print on the artelino auction site have sold in the $50 to $100 range. The most recent sale in their archive was for $50 on December 10, 2017.

Cheers,
Stan
