Subject:Inscription/Age Inside Painted Chinese Snuff Bottle
Posted By: elke Sun, Aug 29, 2021 IP: 2a01:c23:911c:8300:1

Dear Asian Art-Experts and Community,

may somebody please translate the inscription of this nice and neatly inside painted snuff bottle. Can you tell me anything to the possible age and artist/seal? I would be very interested to learn more about it. Already found out that the motive seems to be from the famous "8 immortals".

The bottle is quite large, ca. 3,7 inch/9,5 cm high, width same amount. The tab/Top seems to be jadeit, with bone spoon.

Any hints are apreciated.

Best regards from Elke, Germany

Hi,

The Chinese word is a painting title of a famous Chinese Painter, Fan Zeng. This snuff bottle is a copy of Fan Zeng's paintings.

And, I am sorry to say that in my opinion, this one is a fake inside painting with the Technique of photo project. It's not painted entirely by hands.

For this Technique, please refer to the article founded on the internet below link. I hope you find this post helpful.

Dear Michael,
you tried to send a response, thank you very much. But unfortunately I can not read your answer, it is empty when I open it. Could you kindly please try to send it again. Or could the moderators please have a look for what went possibly wrong?

Thank you, Elke
